Benfield Property has submitted its final plans to Brighton & Hove City Council for Benfield Valley, including the following:
- 101 homes on land north of Hangleton Lane with 40% affordable housing, delivering the Council’s City Plan housing allocation for the area;
- Community parkland on land south of Hangleton Lane previously proposed for housing;
- Refurbishment of Benfield Barn to provide a Community hub with flexible space for community events, educational use and a community café;
- Retention of the footgolf use together with new landscaping and the enhancement of ecological area.
Our aim, responding to comments received at the public consultation, is to strike the right balance between protecting the local environment – 90% of Benfield Valley will remain undeveloped – and providing very much needed housing to help solve the housing crisis.
